Introduction to Blacksmithing    

Saturday and Sunday, March  27 & 28, 2021  8:30a  – 4:30p.

For beginners interested in learning fundamental traditional blacksmithing techniques. This introductory class will provide instruction and hands-on learning the fundamentals of forging hot steel.  The tools and foundational techniques of forging will be explained and demonstrated leaving ample class time for student practice with instructor oversight and assistance.

Plain and Decorative Door and Cabinet Pulls and Knobs

Saturday and Sunday, April 17 & 18, 2021 8:30 a - 5:00p

Adorn kitchen or outbuilding with your own hand work. Design and forge functioning pulls and knobs with traditional techniques. If time allows, basic embossing tools will be made.

Garden gate hinges you'd like to replace with your own hand work? Design, forging, and installation of plain and decorative hinges.

Fire Poker and Shovel  

Saturday and Sunday, May 1 & 2, 2021 8:30 a - 5:00p  

A beginner's class on forging and assembly of a fire poker and ash shovel. Basic forging and joinery techniques.

Flat- Jaw and Box-Jaw Tongs

Saturday and Sunday, May 8 & 9, 2021 8:30 a - 5:00p

Tooling your own shop? Learn to make flat-jaw and box-jaw tongs using traditional forging techniques.  This is a beginner/intermediate level class.
