Hand-forged reproduction 18th-Century British Infantry Hatchet w/Broad Arrow.  Purportedly issued to light infantry units during Revolutionary War.  Also used by some British Units during the Seven Years War/French and Indian War. Hatchet head is 5-3/4 inches long.  The width at  edge is 3-inches.  The 1/2-inch thick poll is 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide. The handle is hand-hewn hickory and 15-3/4 inches long from top of head. The British Broad Arrow is stamped into the blade.
