Reminiscent of the historic trade or butcher knives of the 18th century, this reproduction knife is hand forged from high carbon steel and inspired by original antiques of the period. It measures approx. 7-1/4 inches long with a 4-1/4 inch blade.  Blade is tapered from 1/8th inch width from its steel bolster.  The handle is antiqued cherry, with a traditional peined tang like some of the originals.  The belt sheath is oiled hide treated with wax on the interior to resist moisture retention.  Among other uses, this knife is excellent for cutting muzzleloader patches, or meat when dining at home or in the field or camp.
